Actress Padmapriya has decided to leave for the USA in pursuit of higher studies. She will wrap up her Malayalam film, Naayika based on the life of Sharada, a popular South Indian actress, three-time National award wiinner, and a Parliament member and then leave the country. Padmapriya has decided to study MA in Public Administration from New York University.
This does not mean it is curtains for her acting career, as she said she intends to do films during breaks. Padmapriya has always been experimental with her roles on and offscreen, featuring in unconventional films like Thavamai Thavamirundhu, Pattiyal, and Satham Podathey. Before films, she has worked as a risk consultant and model.
