Music Review: Vedi

Music Review: Vedi
Prabhu Deva'sVedi with Vishal and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles is all set to grace theatres by September end or October first week. Music composed by Vijay Anthony was released by Think Music in Chennai recently. Here we bring you an exclusive music review...
The album begins with a subtle melody 'Enna Aachi' sung beautifully by Vijay Yesudas and Janaki Iyer. Music director Vijay Anthony's simple instrumentations are one of the major highlights of this track.
'Ichu Ichu' is a typical Vijay Anthony styled kuthu number sung by Vijay Antony and Sangeetha Rajeshwaran. Get ready for some scintillating dance steps from Vishal and Sameera Reddy in this peppy track.
'Ippadi Mazhai' is a techno track rendered by Karthik and Saindhavi. As the song progresses, the lyrics and the rhythm overlap. The techno beats and the special sound effects fail to impress.
Then comes the stylish 'Kadhalikka' crooned energetically by Emcee Jesz, Naresh Iyer and Andrea Jeremiah. Director Prabhu Deva's amazing dance steps and the exotic visuals should make the song more interesting.
And finally, we have 'Bombay Ponnu', which has a mix of folk, Bhangra and techno beats. Senthil Das, Mamtha Sharma and M.L.R.. Karthikeyan have rendered this foot tapping number. The song also introduces Mamtha Sharma, who has sung the hit number 'Munni Badnaam' in Tamil.
