Important notification from Producers Council

The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) announced on Sunday that those willing to contest in the elections to be held for the Council on October 9, could receive applications at its office on September 19 and September 20 (Monday and Tuesday).

In an official notification, election officer and veteran producer Ibrahim Rowthar said that duly filled application forms could be submitted at the TFPC from September 23 till September 27. "Applications will be received till 6 pm of September 27," he said.

"Those who would like to withdraw their nominations can do so from September 28 to 4 pm of September 30," Rowthar said and added: "The final list of contestants will be announced at 6 pm on September 30 and the polling will take place from 9 am to 4.30 pm on October 9."

Last week, office bearers of the TFPC met in Chennai and announced that Rowthar would act as the election officer. At the emergency meeting, it was also decided not to allow those facing corruption charges to contest in the elections to be conducted for the Council.
