Touted to be a romantic entertainer, Engeyum Eppothum is written and directed by debut director M Saravanan. There are two love stories forming the movie's backdrop and when these two love stories come together, the movie reaches its climax. The lead roles in Engeyum Eppothum are played by Jai, Anjali, Ananya and Sharvanand.
Jai and Anjali are cast opposite each other as the pair from Chennai while Ananya and Sharvanand are the couple from Trichy. The movie is shot largely in and around Chennai and parts of Trichy.
The music is scored by Sathya and there are five songs in the soundtrack. Lyrics are penned by the director and Na. Muthukumar. The album, with five songs, has already been released in the first week of August to good reviews.
Engeyum Eppothum will decide on Murugadoss' fortunes as a producer and the debut director Saravanan's standing as a newcomer director.
