The countdown has begun for Prabhu Deva's next product 'Vedi.' The director's previous film 'Engaeyum Kadhal' which had 'Jayam' Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead was received well with the audience and was a romantic musical. His upcoming 'Vedi' comes with a dash of action and of course there is a good bit of romance too.
Sophie Choudry, the babe from Bollywood popular for her oomph quotient, has been roped in for an item number in 'Vedi' and the actress is absolutely thrilled being a part of this film. This particular item song which goes 'Mumbai Ponnu...' has been choreographed by Prabhu Deva himself and is sure to stay in the audience minds for long.This song, according to sources close to the film, was shot at nights with a host of co-artists dressed like goons dancing along with Sophie. The actress recently revealed to media that the director has taken a lot of effort to perfect the look and feel of this dance number. 'Vedi' has bagged a U/A certificate from the censor board and is readying to hit theatres on September 30.
The film sees Vishal and Sameera Reddy coming together for the first time. This will be Sameera's film in Tamil after her critically acclaimed role in Gautham Menon's 'Nadunisi Naigal.' The actress is really looking forward for the crowd's response to 'Vedi' reveal sources close to her.
