Earlier, there were reports that director Lingusamy would remake his hit film Paiyaa in Hindi with Suriya in the lead role. Interestingly, in the Tamil version, Suriya's brother Karthi and Tamannaah played the lead roles. Paiyaa is an urban love story that depicts some interesting happenings in the lives of a pair of lovers. The movie was shot in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai.But latest reports suggest that the director is likely to cast ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. However, the director is currently busy with his multi-starrer Vettai which is almost complete. After the release of Vettai, Lingusamy will make an official announcement regarding his new project.
