Content with the feedback he received for his performance in 'Vandhaan Vendraan', Nandha is now keeping his fingers crossed, waiting with bated breath for the release of 'Vellore Mavattam', which is hitting the screens next week.
Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram of AGS Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the film, which features the actor in the role of a police officer for the first time, is directed by RNR Manohar. "It is a very important movie in my career," the 'Eeram' and 'Kodambakkam' actor says.
"There are many untold things about the police department. While a section of police officers work hard with determination and guts to ensure the safety and security of people, there are some others, who are corrupted to the core. Vellore Mavattam will tell you more," he says.
On his part, the director says, "I hail from Vellore. When others in Kollywood are making films set in the backdrop of Madurai, I felt the need to highlight my own area in a movie. In the backdrop of Vellore and the areas in and around the fort town, Vellore Mavattam is a different attempt."
