Diwali releases are successfully making more than a headline each passing day and '7aum Arivu' had also announced its theatre list in the city and 'Velayudham' its international release date. And the latest is that, Simbu has confirmed his 'Osthi' as a Diwali release as well!Grapevine is abuzz that Reliance Entertainments is trying to book theatres in the city for this Dharani directed venture! Simbu has expressed that the film will be a perfect package for Diwali as it has a mass appeal for all centers and has a bigger target audience.
Simbu recently crooned for the 'Pondati...' song in 'Osthi' and expressed through his microblogging page that all the songs have been completed. The film will see an audio and a trailer launch on October 6, when an official confirmation from Simbu and Dharani to the media in a formal press meet is expected.
Through the years it has been proven how films gain more revenue when it releases during a long holiday or festivals. Although four films have confirmed their slots for Diwali, 'Velayudham', '7aum Arivu', 'Osthi' and 'Mayakkam Enna', we'll have to wait to know which banner manages to get more theatre space, based on the target centers of course.
